MEPE EDUCATION CONGRESS

 

The aims and objectives of the Association shall be:

1. To promote quality education in Mepe Traditional Area by mobilizing all human and material resources, both within and outside the Traditional Area.

 

1. To standardize quality education in the Traditional Area through the conduct of competitive examinations and other relevant educational activities.

 

1. To act as a liaison between the Traditional Area and all Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations whose programmes and activities have bearing on that of “MEC”.

 

1. To solicit financial and material assistance within and outside the Traditional Area for the purposes of achieving its objectives.

 

1. To collaborate with persons of relevant expertise to develop and implement technical educational programmes aimed at improving the quality of education in Mepe in accordance with the policies of Ghana Education Service.

MEMBERSHIP

 

 

• Membership is opened to;

  1. Every citizen of Mepe of sound mind.

  2. Every non-citizen of sound mind resident in Mepe for a minimum of five years.

 

• MEC may admit non-Mepe citizens who have shown great interest in the development of the Traditional Area as Associate members.

 

• To be considered as an Associate member one must apply to MEC in writing and such application for membership shall be approved by the Congress or by the Executive Committee in consultation with The Patrons.

 

• A person shall become a member of MEC after completing the registration process which shall be determined by Congress. A similar process shall also exist for Associate membership.
